Creek Run hosted the Inaugural Creek Run Scholarship Golf Scramble at Hickory Hills Golf Club on June 1, 2019, and what a superb, sunny spring day it was to enjoy on the course.  This event was created to raise funds to benefit the Creek Run Scholarship Fund, which offers financial support for dependents of Creek Run employees at the collegiate level.  This year’s eight teams were competing to win one of many great prizes, including the top prize of a round of golf on the Donald Ross course in French Lick, Indiana.

All teams showed great skill throughout the day, but in the end Team #16 (Curt Puckett, Rick Glaze, Jesse Pryor, and Brian Lewis) secured the top prize after a putt off to break the tie for first.  Team #14 (Randy Cates, Tanner Cates, Jake Combs, and Willie Eviston) won the second-place cash prize, and Team #13 (Zach White, Jeff Henry, Ryan Midlam, and Peter Perretta) received the fifth-place prize of a round of golf at Hickory Hills Golf Club.

Many of the golfers also received individual prizes for the longest putt made, closest to the pin, or closest putt in the putting contest.  Through entry fees, the putting contest, and donations, Creek Run raised over $700 for the Scholarship Fund.  Congratulations to all the participants!

Creek Run will be awarding the next scholarships for the 2019-2020 schoolyear in August during the annual Creek Run Fish Fry/Cornhole event.  Thank you to all the participants, prize sponsors, and volunteers of the Creek Run Scholarship Golf Scramble for helping this event have a successful start.  We look forward to seeing you at next year’s scramble!
